Delete your Chispot account

For the Chispot app, published by Chispot Inc.

In the app

Open Settings › Manage account › Delete account and confirm. The deletion happens immediately and cannot be undone.

If you no longer have the app

Email admin@chispots.com from the address on your account and ask us to delete it. Include your username so we can find the right account. We will confirm by email once it is done.

What is deleted

• Your account, profile and login details.
• Your date of birth and your record of accepting these terms.
• The places you own, together with those places' posts, members and messages.
• Your photos and videos, removed from our storage — though copies may persist briefly in caches and backups.
• The devices registered to send you notifications.

What is kept

• Posts and comments you made in places owned by other people. These remain, but are detached from you and shown as coming from a deleted user.
• Records relating to safety reports and enforcement, where we need them to prevent repeat harm or to meet a legal obligation. These are kept no longer than that purpose requires.

Deleting some of your data, without deleting your account

You do not have to delete your account to remove what you have posted. Any post, story or comment can be deleted on its own from inside the app, and deleting a place you own removes that place's posts with it.

For anything you cannot reach yourself, email admin@chispots.com and say what you want removed. The same address handles requests to access or correct your information.
